Privacy Policy

Introduction

Tongue Twisters is a free online trainer for practicing tongue twisters. You can practice without an account. Signing in is optional and helps sync progress and appear on the daily leaderboard.

This policy explains what is stored on your device, what is saved when you sign in, and how to reach us with questions.

The data we collect

Depending on how you use the site, this is what is involved:

• Practice progress on your device: unlocked levels, rep counts, streaks, theme, text size, and sound settings stored in local storage in your browser.
• Optional account: if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, name, and profile photo through our auth provider (Supabase) so we can keep you signed in.
• Synced progress when signed in: level progress, lifetime practice totals, and streak data may be saved to our database so they follow you across devices.
• Daily leaderboard: when you practice while signed in, your display name and today’s practice score can appear on the public leaderboard.
• The website host may keep ordinary connection logs, such as an IP address and the requested URL, to run and protect the site.

How we use your data

We use this information to run the trainer, remember your preferences, sync signed-in progress, and show the daily leaderboard.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use your practice data to build an advertising profile.

Sign-in and third parties

Google sign-in is handled by Google and Supabase. When you choose “Login with Google,” those services process your authentication. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles that data.

The site does not set advertising cookies for third-party ads.

Data storage

Guest practice stays mainly in your browser. Clearing site data removes local progress.

Signed-in progress and leaderboard scores are stored on our servers so they can sync and rank. You can stop syncing by signing out. Contact us if you need help with account-related data.

Leaderboard visibility

Display names and daily scores on the leaderboard are public to visitors of the site. Do not choose a display name that reveals private information you would not want others to see.

Children

The trainer is suitable for family use, including kids practicing with a parent or teacher. If you believe a child’s account data was submitted without appropriate consent, email us and we will help where we can.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page. Questions can be sent to hello@tonguetwisters.site.
